The Independent Director responds to Government Green Paper on Corporate Government Reform

At the tail-end of 2016 the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy wrote a Green Paper on Corporate Governance Reform, where they presented a framework which included options such as reviewing shareholder influence and executive pay, increasing the connection between the board of directors and other groups with an interest in corporate performance, and ways that the successful practices in corporate governance from listed companies could extend to the largest privately held companies.
This sentiment fits perfectly with Gerry's mission, however with the consideration that more could be done Gerry and his colleagues from Henley Business School, Dr Roger Barker and Professor Andrew Kakabadse, wrote directly to the Rt. Hon Greg Clark MP with further actions, advice and suggestions to broaden the approach and make a real difference.
